Laura Wareck is a young adult writer and communications professional who serves as the director of media and government relations at Simmons University. Previously, she was a journalist and worked at one of the largest public affairs firms in New England, where she provided public relations, crisis communications, and content development services.
A former competitive swimmer, Laura swam for 17 years at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. A huge book lover, she completed her first story – “Teasing Chuck” about her beloved mutt Charlie – at the age of seven. As a child Laura also enjoyed channeling her inner Harriet the Spy, and you could often find her with a notebook in hand, recording observations and creating stories on the fly.
She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain.” – Louisa May Alcott in Work: A Story of Experience
